My name is Marvin A. Wright. I was born in Memphis, Tennessee and raised in St. Lousi, MO.
Upon leaving St. Louis, In entered the Marine Corps and moved to Hawaii in 1982 where I have resided to present. In
1990 I graduated from St. Louis University with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work. I studied music from a young age
and have sung in various groups and choirs throughtout my lifetime. In 1995 an awesome event occurred in my life.
I became the Grand Champion of the popular music television show Hawaii Stars, which featured local talents. As a result
of this win I received a recording contract and recorded my first contemporary gospel album. In 1996 I was nominated
for best Male Gospel Vocalist of the Year and best Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year. I am presently the Music Director
for the New Life Church of Honolulu. As a new Member of the TRADEWINDS.
My Motto is I LOVE MUSIC, ANY KIND OF MUSIC. Marvin has recently moved from Hawaii, and it currently living in
the mainland, but will always be a TRADEWIND.
