My name is Marvin A. Wright.  I was born in Memphis, Tennessee and raised in St. Lousi, MO.  Upon leaving St. Louis, In entered the Marine Corps and moved to Hawaii in 1982 where I have resided to present.  In 1990 I graduated from St. Louis University with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work.  I studied music from a young age and have sung in various groups and choirs throughtout my lifetime.  In 1995 an awesome event occurred in my life.  I became the Grand Champion of the popular music television show Hawaii Stars, which featured local talents.  As a result of this win I received a recording contract and recorded my first contemporary gospel album.  In 1996 I was nominated for best Male Gospel Vocalist of the Year and best Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year.  I am presently the Music Director for the New Life Church of Honolulu.  As a new Member of the TRADEWINDS.  My Motto is I LOVE MUSIC, ANY KIND OF MUSIC.  Marvin has recently moved from Hawaii, and  it currently living in the mainland,  but will always be a TRADEWIND.
